私は「芸術には娯楽以外の価値もある」と思います。私の意見を2つの観点から説明したいと思います。その観点の一つは「この問題に対して社会がどう変わってきたか」、もう一つは「私の意見に対する想定される反論は何か」です。

まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

テレビが発明される以前、芸術の価値というのは主として娯楽でした。現代はたくさんの種類の娯楽があります。この観点では、芸術の娯楽としての価値は下がっているのかもしれません。しかし、芸術は今も文化や歴史として重要な役割を果たしています。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

たくさんのほかの娯楽がある現代社会では、芸術はもはや必要ではない、とさえ言う人もいます。しかしながら、娯楽として以外でも、芸術には当時の情景、生活、感情、考えなどを現代に伝えるという、素晴らしい価値があります。

結論として、私は「芸術には娯楽以外の価値もある」と確信しております。加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that art has value except as entertainment. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

Art used to have value mainly as entertainment before television was invented. People in modern times have variety of options for entertainment. From this view point, the value of art as entertainment might have declined. But art still plays an important role as culture and history.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some people even say that art is no longer necessary for modern society where a lot of other entertainment can be enjoyed. However, except for entertainment, it has great value for conveying scenery, lifestyle, emotion and thought in ages to modern age.

In conclusion, I believe that art has value except as entertainment. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
