I suppose that Too much pressure isn't put on children to conform to traditional gender roles. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

In the old days, Japanese women were confined to household affairs. However, after the Second World War, the Japanese government established the Equal Employment Operation Law which has stimulated the social progress of women. As a result, children these days can have more opportunity to choose their occupations.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some people especially in old generations say that women should cook well and do housework while men are not required. However, at least in school, there is no marked difference in curriculums including gymnastics and home economics for boys and girls.

In conclusion, I believe that Too much pressure isn't put on children to conform to traditional gender roles. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
