I suppose that the sciences are more important than the arts in today's society.. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

When the society didn't have the Internet, the arts used to play an important role of expressing beauty, emotion and entertainment. But in the modern society, we can see various things through the Internet and the television. The arts are no longer only a way to express them.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some may argue that the arts make our culture richer. But the sciences contribute to the society far more than the arts. We don't starve thanks to the agricultural technology, and we are saved by the medical technique.

In conclusion, I believe that the sciences are more important than the arts in today's society.. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
