まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

世界大戦が行われていた時代においては、戦争に勝つための軍事力が重要視されていました。近年の緊張した国際情勢により、自国の安全のための軍事力を備える国が増えてきています。軍事力により敵対国やテロリストから国を守る事ができ、それは自国の安全保障や平和な社会を維持する上で、重要な要素であるといえます。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

中には軍事力の競争は世界平和を脅かすものであり、国際問題は平和的外交によって解決すべきものであるという人もいます。しかしながら現代社会において平和的外交を行わない国も増えてきており、そのような国が攻めてきたときに対応できるように軍事力は必要であるといえます。

結論として、私は「軍事力は国家の安全のもっとも重要な要素である」と確信しております。 加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that military strength is the most important element of national security. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

The time period during World War II placed importance on the military forces to win the war. In recent years, due to the tension of international situation, nations which have military forces to keep security have been increasing. Military forces can protect one's country from a hostile nation and a terrorist cell, and it is important to keep national security of it and a peaceful society.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that the competition of military forces may menace world peace, and international problems should be solved by peaceful diplomacy.However, nations which don't do the peaceful diplomacy have been increasing, and military forces are necessary to make preparations for being attacked by them.

In conclusion, I believe that military strength is the most important element of national security. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
