I suppose that the public do not have enough say about how government money is spend. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

In recent years,the diversification of taxes has made the structure of government budget more complicated. It is difficult for the people to understand it with accuracy,and it is not easy to say about how government money is spend.However,if the people do not keep a sharp watch for it,it is likely that it will be used improperly.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that how government money is spend has been debated in the Diet,and it may explain to the public the process of deciding to use the tax revenue.However,the special accounts that are not discussed in the Diet has caused many problems such as Amakudari,a futile public enterprise,and bureaucratic government.Therefore,it is needed to establish a third-party institution to clarify the money and to indicate a financial programme with accuracy.The government is also responsible for creating the environment where the people can say how to use the money more easily.

In conclusion, I believe that the public do not have enough say about how government money is spend. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
