まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

高度経済成長期には企業は国内だけでも十分に利益をあげることができ、英語はさほど必要のない時代でした。しかし近年大企業の多くは海外に支店をもち、また海外進出をしようとするところも増えてきています。つまり将来的にはビジネスの上で、英語は重要になると考えられています。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

中には英語を社内で公用語とすることは、通常業務を差し支えることにもなりかねないという声もあります。しかし社内で英語を公用語とすることは、生きた英語に接する機会がぐっと増えることにもつながります。それは結果的に従業員の語学力向上につながり、企業の利益向上にもつながると考えられます。

結論として、私は「日本の大企業は英語を社内公用語とすべきである」と確信しております。加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that large companies in Japan should make English their official language. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

In the high economic growth period, the companies could earn their enough profits in the only home market,and English was not necessary. However, in recent years,many large companies in Japan have had branches in the overseas,and they are also aiming for an overseas promotion.As a result,English is expected to be important in the daily business activities in the future.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that to make English their official language in the companies will cause the difficulties in their daily business.However, it will give the chances to come into contact with natural English increased significantly to workers. As a result,it advances in their language abilities, which leads to increasing profitability.

In conclusion, I believe that large companies in Japan should make English their official language. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
