I suppose that multiculturalism in society is a good thing. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

In the past, suzerains forced their colonies to accept their cultures and languages. But after the Second World War, people in the world began to think that every ethnic has a right to have their own culture and language. I also think that every ethnic should respect other ethnics, regardless of whether it's majority or minority.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

People in some countries think that monoculturalism creates a sense of solidarity in society more than multiculturalism. However, multiculturalism can help to remove prejudice toward other cultures in the country. It may be a good environment for learning to respect each other even in daily life.

In conclusion, I believe that multiculturalism in society is a good thing. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
