私は「戦争は避けられる」と思います。私の意見を2つの観点から説明したいと思います。その観点の一つは「この問題に対して社会がどう変わってきたか」、もう一つは「私の意見に対する想定される反論は何か」です。

まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

歴史上、戦争は他者から何かを得るために行われてきました。しかし、技術の進化は核兵器のような強力過ぎる武器をつくり出しましたが、それらは両方に深刻なダメージを与えかねません。たとえ戦争に勝ってもより多くのものを失いかねないので、そういった兵器は戦争に対する抑止力となっています。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

外交の代わりに軍事力を使う国が未だにある、という人もいます。一方で、国際社会は問題を平和的に解決するために国連のような機関をたくさん設立してきました。それらは、紛争を解決するためにイニシアチブを取っており、世界は平和に向けて少しずつ進んでいます。

結論として、私は「戦争は避けられる」と確信しております。 加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that war is avoidable. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

War has been waged in history to get something from others. But technological development has created too powerful weapons such as nuclear weapons, which could cause serious damage to both sides. The weapons deter countries from starting war because they might lose more even if they won.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that some nations still use military power instead of diplomatic talk. On the other hand, the international society has established many institutions such as the United Nations for solving problems peacefully. They take the initiative in settling conflict. The world is gradually progressing toward peace.

In conclusion, I believe that war is avoidable. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
