インターネットの普及は家族との時間を減らしてしまう可能性があるという意見もあります。しかしながら人々は家族と一緒に会話を楽しみながら、インターネットで買い物をしたり、おいしいレストランを探したり、旅行プランを立てることができ、インターネットは必ずしも家族との時間を減らしているものではないといえるでしょう。

結論として、私は「インターネットは家族のコミュニケーションを破壊していない」と確信しております。 加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that the Internet is not destroying family communication. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

The recent growing rate of Internet has made it possible to obtain needed information easily and has become a regular part of our lives. Furthermore, Internet can make instant communication possible between families on the go and even from abroad　by sending e-mail and free call.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that the spread of Internet is likely to decrease the amount of time spent on family. However, as people can enjoy doing online shopping, finding a nice restaurant and making plans for their trips over the Internet with enjoying conversation with their families, the Internet is not necessarily reducing time spent on family.

In conclusion, I believe that the Internet is not destroying family communication. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
