私は「宗教は社会にとって従うべき良いモラルの基準となっていない」と思います。私の意見を2つの観点から説明したいと思います。その観点の一つは「この問題に対して社会がどう変わってきたか」、もう一つは「私の意見に対する想定される反論は何か」です。

まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

近年日本には様々な新興宗教が進出してきています。しかしながら中には社会との関わりを絶ち、その宗教集団でしか暮らさない宗教もあります。このような状況下にいると自分たちだけが正しいと思い込みがちになり、狭い世界で偏った考え方に陥ってしまう可能性もあります。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

宗教はモラルや規律を説くものであり、社会に与える良い影響も大きいという意見もあります。しかしながら、宗教の中には営利を目的としたものや、殺人のような犯罪を犯すものも進出してきており、社会に悪影響を与えているといえます。

結論として、私は「宗教は社会にとって従うべき良いモラルの基準となっていない」と確信しております。 加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that religion does not provide good moral standards for society to follow. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

The various new religions have recently emerged in Japan. Some of them would not have the social interaction and live togherther in only their groups. In these situations, people tend to be hypnotized into believing self-righteous bigotry and to fall into the prejudiced thinking in their own little world.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that religion preaches the value of moral and discipline and it have a significantly positive effect on society.　However, Some of them have emerged as for-profit organization and have perpetrated a crime such as murder, which have negative impact on the society.

In conclusion, I believe that religion does not provide good moral standards for society to follow. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
