私は「民主主義は政府の最善の制度である」と思います。私の意見を2つの観点から説明したいと思います。その観点の一つは「この問題に対して社会がどう変わってきたか」、もう一つは「私の意見に対する想定される反論は何か」です。

まず初めに、社会は大きく変わってきています。過去の常識や経験が常に現代社会に適用できるとは限りません。社会の変化に応じて、私たちは考え方を変える必要があります。

近年世界では民主化運動が進める国が増えつつあります。民主主義国では国民に選挙権が与えられており、政治制度そのものに国民が参加ができ、国民の意見を反映させることが出来ます。

次に、この問題は賛否両論あるものであり、全ての人が同じ意見に同意することはないと思います。それぞれの人にはそれぞれの立場や経験があります。異なる視点からの意見を無視するのではなく、それを踏まえて結論を出すことは大切なことです。

近年日本においては、国民の意見や要望などがしばしば反映されておらず、強い政治不信をまねきつつあります。しかしながら民主主義において平等や言論の自由は基本原則であり、表現の自由の権利や私たちの暮らしは守られているといえるでしょう。

結論として、私は「民主主義は政府の最善の制度である」と確信しております。 加えて、社会をより良くするためには、この問題に関して社会で何らかの合意を形成することは良い考えかもしれません。以上です。

I suppose that democracy is the best system of government. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

In recent years, many nations have advanced democratization. As the people are granted suffrage in democratic countries, they can get involved in politics and their opinions are able to be reflected in management of national politics.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that as the people's opinions and demands are often not reflected in management of national politics in Japan, these situations have fostered the strong public distrust of politics. However, equality and free speech are the basic principle of democracy, the right to freedom of expression and our lives are protected by it.

In conclusion, I believe that democracy is the best system of government. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
