I suppose that the government can not be trusted to spend taxpayers'money wisely. I'd like to explain my opinion from the two perspectives. One of the perspectives is how the society has changed regarding this issue, and another is what is a possible counterargument against my opinion.

Firstly, the society has changed largely. The past common sense and experience are not always applicable to the modern society. We need to change our way of thinking as the society changes.

As the government has imposed high taxes on the people, it suppresses the life of them. Furthermore, the people have had a sense of distrust against the goverment because of high salary of a member of Congress, a great amount of unaccounted-for expenditure and a wasted public enterprise.

Secondly, this topic is controversial and I think everyone never agrees on a single opinion. Everyone has each position and experience. It is better to consider opinion from different viewpoints before concluding than to ignore it.

Some say that the role of the goverment is the management of the finances, and it should be left to the goverment. However, a wasteful use of taxes may bring about both the distrust of the goverment and the decline in tax revenues. Therefore, it is important that the uses of taxes should be clarified by a third institution to use it for the proper purposes.

In conclusion, I believe that the government can not be trusted to spend taxpayers'money wisely. In addition to that, it may be a good idea to make some kind of consensus in the society about this issue in order to make the society better. Thank you.
